The water supply system of the concrete mixing plant is mainly composed of water source, water storage device, power source, valve, pipeline and water scale.
1. Water source
The basic condition for the normal operation of the concrete mixing plant is that there is a water source that can continuously supply water. The water sources generally include tap water and well water. In areas with abundant groundwater, it is generally considered to dig a well and then pump it into the pool near the main mixing building. For storage, in areas with drought or cheap tap water, tap water is often used as the water source; some also make full use of wastewater, which is recycled as auxiliary water after repeated precipitation.
2. Water storage device
① Pool. In order to make full use of the site, many users set the pool under the silo. The size of the pool is determined according to the needs of the user, generally 3-4m deep, and the water storage volume is not less than 4m3. The pool is equipped with a level gauge to ensure that the water does not overflow.
②Water tank. The water tank can be placed under the main mixing building or above the weighing layer of the mixing main building, which can be determined according to the needs of users. The water tank is equipped with a high and low level gauge, and the water level is always controlled between the upper water level and the lower water level under the action of the electronic control system to ensure the mixing water in the mixing station.
3. Water pump
There are many models of water pumps with different performances. The two important parameters of the water pump are head and flow rate. First, the head of the pump is determined according to the water supply height and management layout of the mixing station, and then according to the water consumption of each tank and the water supply time.
